Anderson Farms Fall Festival

What an amazing day at Anderson Farms 2014!

We arrived fairly early on Saturday and spent the entire day having fun together. Our family has made Anderson’s Fall Festival a part of our fall schedule each of the past three years and it has become a tradition.

The weather was perfect on the day we went so we really made the most of our day.

With a family of young boys I love that there are so many activities available for them. The pedal carts are a huge hit and really wear they boys out.  The barrel train is fun and usually requires at least two trips to satisfy everyone.  They will play for hours in the playground and can only be persuaded to leave to go pick out their pumpkins.  Luckily there are wagons available to haul the kids around when the have had too much fun!

We love the corn maze the most and are always anxious to see what the new theme is.  It is a big maze so we usually do this right before we sit down to lunch.  There’s lots of great food to eat and seasonal goodies in the general store.

We usually go to the pony rides and petting zoo after lunch and it is exciting to see how my boys prefer different types of animals each year and there certainly is a great assortment to enjoy.

I like to save the pumpkin patch until right before we leave so we don’t have to haul them around with us all day.  This year the pumpkins seemed even larger and more colorful than last year.  It’s funny how my boys always pick different types of pumpkins which makes for a nice variety to carve at home.  My youngest loves the huge ones and needs help carrying it to the wagon.

Our family isn’t ready for the Haunted Hayride and Ghost Town or the Terror in the Corn but my cousins kids look forward to it and plan to go at least once each year.  I recommend the farm to a lot of my friends because it offers such a wholesome family oriented fun-packed day of fall adventure.  Check it out at
