The Estes Area Lodging Association is a group of hotel, motel, cabin, condo and bed and breakfast owners who all support each other. In these rough economic times, associations are relied upon more and more as small business owners are encountering challenges that they have not seen before.
Tourism is by far the largest industry in Estes and lodging plays a major role. Because of lodging Estes Park is able to accommodate the 3 million annual visitors to Rocky Mountain National Park. Many tourists come up from Denver for the day but many more come from far away and stay for days or even weeks at a time. They come to enjoy the once in a lifetime, spectacular views of the Rockies hoping to catch a glimpse of an elk or maybe even a bear.
Tourists enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping, rock climbing and more but it’s the great dining and unique shops that attract others. Perhaps it’s a combination for you. Or maybe the kids would enjoy things like bumper boats, the giant 3-story slide, miniature golf or even a ride up the mountain on an arial tram. No matter what you’re looking for, Estes Park has it all.
