Denver Day Trips from Estes Park

Only 65 miles northwest of Estes Park is Denver, Colorado’s cultural and entertainment center.   Take U.S. Highway 36 east through Boulder.   Continue going east to Interstate 25 and then go south to Denver.   This 90 minute drive will also give you a taste of Lyons and Boulder.

Families with kids might choose a day trip to the Denver Zoo and dinner at the Downtown Aquarium.  The Butterfly Pavilion and Elitch Gardens Amusement Park are also family favorites.   Kids of all ages can find a sports event or a concert to attend.

Denver is also home to many museums and shopping centers as well as the U.S. Mint and the state capital.
