The Estes Park Duck Race and Surprise Sidewalk Sale launch a variety of summer activities in this charming mountain community at the east entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Many Estes area accommodations, restaurants, shops and activities are offering specials to encourage visitors to enjoy springtime in the Rockies

Ducks are dropped in Fall River at 1 P.M. at Nicky’s Resort located at 1350 Fall River Road. The race can be viewed along the way from several properties including: Aspen Winds, Inn on Fall River, Deer Crest Resort, and more (to be added). “Adopt” your race duck from an Estes Park organization, receive a duck with your lodging package or purchase one online (link here)

  • Olympus Digital Voice RecorderDowntown Estes Park will come alive with activities, entertainment, and excitement for this 23rd annual Duck Race on May 7th and will also feature the third annual Spring Sidewalk Sale. The sidewalk sale is scheduled from 9 A.M. To 5:30 P.M. Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8. Set to coincide with the end of the Winter season and the Estes Park Duck Race, the Third Annual Surprise Sidewalk sale entices shoppers as merchants put tables and racks out on the sidewalk for the weekend. You’ll also find special pricing on many items indoors as well.

Last spring, the Race raised over $100,000 for community organizations in the Estes Valley and is the largest charity fundraiser in the area. Over 95% of the money raised actually goes to benefit the participating organizations.
